Course Outline and Description of Sessions

Session 1: The 5-Step Mediation Model and the Mediator Skills of Empathic Listening/Reflecting, and Connection Requests  

Session 2: The Mediator Skill of "Pulling By The Ears," "Emergency First Aid Empathy," and "Tracking" 

Session 3: The Mediator Skills of "Interrupting," "Self-Empathy," and "Self-Expression"  

Session 4: The Mediator Skill of Facilitating "Solution Requests" and The Three Types of Agreements — Main, Supporting, and Restoring

Session 5: The Engagement Conversation, Pre and Post Mediation, and Setting Up the Mediation Conversation

Session 6: Facilitating the 4-Step Healing & Reconciliation (H&R) Process for Conflicts Based in Emotional Hurt

Session 7: Practice with the Mediation Model and and H&R Process

Session 8: Deepening & Integration - In this final session, we'll review and deepen the practice and learning, and discuss how you can continue your learning and development and receive support after the course.
